Atilogwu translates from Igbo to English as "Is this magic?" Traditionally a spirited dance, spectators would ask if magical assistance was used to make the dancers perform such a complicated routine while making it look easy, thus, Atilogwu. In this video, first and second generation Igbo youths perform Atilogwu for their families and community as a fundraiser for their cultural education program. Notice the community member's reaction to the performance, as they shower the dancers with money in acknowledgement of their hard work and dedication. Filmed June 9th, 2018.
