Moore, Bernard
1970-1979
This paper identifies problems that have impacted on the management of Bankhead Courts, a public housing development in the City of Atlanta, Georgia. These problems are defined and an effort has been made to indicate how they affect not. only the. management of the housing units, but also the affect that these problems have on the lives of the residents. In order to improve the management of the project (Bankhead Courts), a tenant management corporation has been recommended. The plan of management includes recommendations that were incorporated into a tenant plan of management for residents of the Iroqouis Homes, a public housing development in Louisville, Kentucky. The proposed plan of management includes a resident board of directors, training a manager selected from among the tenants, training support staff for management and a maintenance staff for the development composed of residents of Bankhead Courts.
