[Fire for God] (audio)
Bishop Kelley 1949
Bishop J. Howard Dell Collection
This recording opens with gospel singing, blues guitar, and a woman testifying over the music. Dell then delivers his sermon using his childhood and remembering his father building a fire for his family as a metaphor for people to build a fire for God and that it can keep burning once started. He further talks about Jesus saving the people and how God makes changes in lives and that anyone can turn around if they have that intent.
