Bishop J. Howard Dell Collection
This recording begins with a musical selection “Jesus is Lord.” After the selection Bishop Dell asks congregation to stand and lift their hands to the Lord as an act of worship. Following Bishop Dell is a prayer by an unknown male minister. The prayer is followed by a musical selection “Your Tears.” The scripture Genesis 12:1-2, 11:31-32 is read afterwards by unknown male minster. After the scripture reading Bishop Dell delivers a sermon on faith and talks about Abraham leaving from his home. He also talks about how the power and influence of the home (first unit society) has been lost to rulings by the Supreme Court. He also talks about prayer being taken out of school. After his sermon is concluded Bishop Dell gives the benediction and the choir sings. There are announcements by an unidentified female at the end of the recording.
