This recording is of a worship service. In this service Bishop J.O. Patterson delivers a sermon on the Holy Spirit. In the sermon he gives a history of the Church of God in Christ. He talks about how Bishop Charles H. Mason and Elder C.P. Jones were kicked out of the Baptist church over the doctrine of sanctification. He also talks about how Bishop Charles H. Mason thought in addition to sanctification there needed to be a baptism of the Holy Ghost. He also discusses the issue of busing. The recording also includes prayer and musical selections including “Lord Plant My Feet on Higher Ground” and “That’s why My Heart is filled with Praise.”
