[Women’s Day] (audio)
Bishop J. Howard Dell Collection
This recording features a women’s day program, opening with gospel singing, prayers, and announcements. A woman then introduces the program theme of a wise woman and a foolish woman, based on Proverbs 14:1. She talks about how to be a wide woman, respecting home, family, and husband. Dell then prays for the infirmed and talks about entering into a new era of fellowships. Other women talk about the roles and responsibilities of the woman, how women must motivate children to work so they become productive citizens and not be lazy, and the role of the women to keep peace in the home. There is singing throughout the program, including “Do Not Pass Me By”, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”, and “It’s Me O Lord”.
