[Building a Church] (audio)
Bishop J. Howard Dell Collection
This recording begins with the singing of hymns and gospel song, and a man delivering a small introductory sermon inviting God into service and quoting Matthew 16:13-20. He talks about a man moved to build a COGIC temple, and now he is motivated to help and is taking contributions. The young people sing, and Dell announces a program for a new building. He reads Ephesians 3:8-11 and talks about the church being a place for angles. He tells the story of God building earth, the creation of man and Jesus, which leads to an enthusiastic call and response about God sending his son from heaven. He closes with stressing to the congregation to stay in church, followed by a blessing and singing.
