Abstract

Recording starts at a COGIC church in Soperton with singing and Reverend Renfroe introducing another man who delivers a prayer. A woman delivers a welcome to the congregation followed by song. A woman delivers a history of the holy temple, followed by prayer and a song about COGIC, along with other testifying and songs including “How Great Thou Art”. Renfroe introduces Dell who talks about an early revival he led in 1927 and the building of churches. He delivers a message of encouragement from the Lord, and talks about sin. He encourages the audience to go out and do something for God, and talks about differences in races and countries, and how evildoers, no matter what race will be cut down. He emphasizes being a good person, relating to a car accident that he narrowly avoided and how it was the will of God that prevented anyone from being hurt and how the good White people tracked down the person who caused the accident.
