[The Slave and Jesus] (audio)
Official Message Workers Meeting
Bishop J. Howard Dell Collection
This recording begins with singing and Dell talking about how Jesus always understands you. He talks about a slave servant trying to reach Jesus, and how some people need God to help them in finding Jesus. He talks about a little boy not coming to church because he didn’t have clothes and how the church needs to reach out to help the poor, leading into a call and response. Audio then cuts to another church program with various gospel songs. A man reads from 1 Samuel 1, and talks about the story of Hannah, followed by a song. Dell then leads a prayer for suffering people, and talks about Hannah and how she still went to church despite her miserable life, and how God helped her through prayer.
