Abstract

In this recording from the David Roberts’ Oral History Interviews, dated July 03, 1973, Roberts speaks to A.W. Parks, a retired businessman. Parks speaks about his childhood in Newnan, GA, racism, and segregation in the early 20th century. Flanagan also discusses Georgia politics and the justice system, Booker T. Washington high school, and hospitals available to African-Americans at that time.
