Dr. Gnther Bornkamm (1905-1990) was a German pastor, New Testament scholar, and professor at the University of Heidelberg. Under the regime of Adolf Hitler, he opposed the nazification of the Protestant churches. This audio recording begins at the end of Bornkamms sermon on the Christology of Paul. He ends the sermon by stating that the Gospels in the bible recall us back to the time of the early Jesus before his death and resurrection. After he ends his sermon, they begin a question and answer session in which Dr. Bornkamm answers questions about the representation of biblical narratives, the kerygma of Paul in relation to the Palestinian Church and how Peters sermon on the Day of Pentecost is a representation of Pauls kerygma. He closes by discussing Jesuss teachings of the coming kingdom as well as different objections and skepticism in historical research. Begins in middle of sermon; interruption at 32:08-32:13.
