2010-2019
Cannabis is widely used in both developed and developing countries. In 2010 there was an estimated 13.1 million Cannabis dependent persons worldwide. To date little is known about the health literacy of the Cape Town population in South Africa specific to cannabis dependence and co-occurring conditions. This study seeks to determine if a correlation exists among the prevalence of Tuberculosis in areas where the use of Cannabis is high and if residents are informed about the risk factors.
