Description

View of stadium, stage, and crowd at commencement. Written on verso: Commencement, 1996; The class of 1996 reached an all-time high of 466 graduates. An overflow crowd of 9,000 parents and friends showed up at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit/Chapel Hill Harvestor Church for their commencement (7,000 seat capacity). Myrlie Evers-Williams, chair of the National Boards of Directors of NAACP delivered the address.
